There are all kinds of vision in our\nworld today. We see many things with the vision of our natural eyes. When our\nnatural eyes are not working right, \nthere are different terms for those ailments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Nearsightedness\u2026\u2026.when we can only see\nthe things around us clearly that are very   close<\/li>
  2. Farsightedness\u2026..when we can only see the things that are far away\nfrom us clearly and the things up close are out of focus and \u201cunclear\u201d<\/li>
  3. Cataracts\u2026.when the lens of the eyes become covered and blurry and\ncauses all sight to be compromised.  When\ncataracts are removed it is said to be like scales being removed and clear\nvision restored.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    There are also other kinds of\n\u201cvisions\u201d that are around us in the world today. Self help gurus and success\nmentors teach their followers to visualize<\/strong>\nwhat they wish to achieve or visualize\nwith the \u201cvision\u201d of their minds<\/strong> to reach their full potential of success. And\nyet there is still another kind of vision; it is as the Hebrew language tell us,\n\u201ca divine communication, a divine\nprophecy, a vision while in an ecstatic state, a vision, a mirror, a spiritual experience where you see with your spiritual\neyes\u2026.and maybe even with your natural eyes<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/strong>\u2026.There were Prophets in the old testament, often called \u201cseers\u201d\npronounced \u201csee-ers\u201d because they saw things in visions.  There was Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea,\nNehemiah, Joel, Obadiah, Nahum, and many others.  You may be thinking, \u201cThese were Old\nTestament Prophets, what does that have to do with me? I am just an ordinary\nperson. How can I have visions?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Because the promises of God are sure\nand stedfast, and if God said it, by faith you may receive it!   Joel 2:28 And\nit shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh;\nand your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream\ndreams, your young men shall see VISIONs:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Prophet Isaiah lived in the times\nof Hezekiah, king of Judah.  There had\nbeen a resurgence in the land of Judah to follow the Lord and to seek after his\nwill.  The prophet Isaiah\u2019s writings are\nin 66 chapters and is often called the \u201cmini bible\u201d.  In its 66 chapters you see portions of the entire\nbible in its writings.  Some poetic\nreferences remind you of Psalms, its wisdom reminds you of Proverbs, Its\nprophetic utterances of the Messiah in chapters 1,9,28,30,40,53,58 sounds a lot\nlike the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and the last chapter 66 tells\nus of the new heavens and the new earth like the book of Revelation!  When you have a vision as Isaiah had in\nChapter 6 and it is from God:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. You will see\nGOD for who HE is!<\/strong>  You will see His majesty\nand his glory, and you will be forever changed! \nYour stinking thinking will be exchanged for heavenly thoughts, and your\naffections will be on things above Colossians\n3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things\non the earth.  Y<\/em>our\nconversation will be changed to prayers for others, and your speech to that\nwhich edifies.      Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of\nyour mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister\ngrace unto the hearers. <\/em><\/li>
    2. You will see\nyourself as God sees you!<\/strong>  After Isaiah beheld the\nglory of the Lord, he had this to say about himself!  \u201cI saw<\/em><\/strong> the Lord! High and lifted up! I\nhad a\nvision<\/em><\/strong>! I looked into the \u201cmirror\u201d<\/em><\/strong> of GOD!  Woe is me! I am a man of unclean lips! And I\ndwell in the midst of people of unclean lips!  \nOur vision<\/em><\/strong> of our selves will change. We will recognize that\nwithout JESUS<\/strong> the savior in our\nlives we are nothing, have nothing, can do nothing, and most of all KNOW\nnothing!  We will be able to say like the\nprophet Isaiah in the 53rd<\/sup> chapter, \u201cAll we like sheep have gone astray; we have\nturned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of\nus all.\u201d<\/em><\/li>
    3. You will have a heart for others! \n<\/strong>You\nwill see others as you never saw them before. \nYour response will be like Isaiah\u2019s when the Lord says, \u201cWho will go for\nus?  Who shall we send?  Who will tell the story? Who will spread the\nmessage?\u201d  You will say as the prophet did\nthat day, \u201cHere am I, send me, I will go!\u201d \nThe sad part of this wonderful story is the Lord commissioned Isaiah to\nGO!, but that he would go to those who would not want to hear, would not want\nto see, would not want their hearts to be converted.  9.And he said, Go, and tell\nthis people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but\nperceive not. 10. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy,\nand shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears,\nand understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The Message\nof the Cross of Calvary, of Jesus the Christ, the Savior of those who will\nreceive him, is hated by this world of darkness.  The truth of Jesus paying for our salvation\nby the shedding of his precious blood, is ridiculed as old fashioned and outdated!  It is pushed aside as to narrow, and so very\nunpopular!  Paul stated that the\npreaching of the cross was to them that perish foolishness, but to us who are\nsaved it is the power of GOD! I Corinthians 1:18.  The body of Christ, the church, needs a fresh\nnew vision of the Savior!  We must enter\nagain into HIS presence to see that He has been highly exalted and given a name\nabove all names! Phillipians\n2 9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is\nabove every name: <\/em>10. <\/em><\/a>That at the name of Jesus every knee should\nbow, of things\nin heaven, and things\nin earth, and things\nunder the earth; <\/em>11. <\/strong><\/em><\/a>And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the\nglory of God the Father.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once\nin his presence we can see ourselves as he sees us!  Our robes can be washed again to remove the\nspots, blemishes, and wrinkles.  These\nare the besetting sins and weights, the rudiments of this world, and the\nphilosophies and traditions of men!  We\nmust have our eyes anointed with the eyesalve of the blood of JESUS, and our\nlips touched with the fires of the altars of heaven, being filled with the Holy\nGhost and fire!  Then we can completely\nbe the vessels of honor fit for the masters use, to spread the glorious gospel\nof the Lord Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The\nlack of a vision causes the people of God to perish! Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people\nperish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.<\/em>  Many times the\npeople of God have allowed their vision of Jesus to become impaired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
